In the midst of Angels PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ron Elliott

Ron ElliottDo you believe in Angels?  When we think about angels usually it is in the heavenly realm. But, what about angels in our midst here in the earthly realm which is so familiar to us? Are there angels all around us as we go about the activities of our daily lives: angels that have taken on human form, angels that look just like other humans and have blended into the scenes around us?

I believe in angels in both realms. I have experienced an angel in human form coming out seemingly from nowhere to come to my aid and then disappear back into nowhere, with no name and with no agenda but to help me in a serious and dangerous situation. I believe angels in spiritual form often enter into our very familiar family and friends encouraging them to perform various acts of mercy and kindness for others and thereby revealing God’s Love.

My wife, Nell and I have been experiencing angels all around us like the latter mentioned above. Our church family is “infested” with angels! The following are examples:

  • There is an angel who has brought us food from the Wednesday Night dinners, who has come by and at with Nell when I was away most of the day, who came and took me to a doctor appointment when our car was broken down.
  • There is an angel who sends two Molly Maid employees to clean our house.
  • There are two angels who provided funds that enabled me to attend the recent Men’s Retreat at Fruitland, Florida.
  • There are angels who have delivered our Meals-On-Wheel route when we were unable to do so.
  • There are numerous angels who have been praying for us and who have been sending us cards of love and encouragement.
  • There are a couple of angels who have helped us redo several rooms in our house and does a brake job on our car.
  • Our family angel drove over to our house to let us use their vehicle in order to get Nell to her chemo appointment when our car was broke down.
  • There was an angel on the church staff at church who keeps going the extra mile for us
  • There is an angel who calls and checks on Nell when I am away on my part time job and who requested and go a key so they can come bye and check on Nell if she is unable to answer the phone for some reason.
  • An angel came and decorated our Christmas tree and our house for the Christmas season
  • While I was writing this, an angel was on the way bringing us lunch and to fellowship with us.
  • We both are experiencing doctors, nurses, physical therapists, medical technicians and patients who have to be angels because of their prayers, dedication, joy and encouragement.

Our Lord Jesus Christ knows our needs and His army of angels are busy!!! Nell and I are so Blessed and thankful. Suppose Nell and I did not have angels? From our experiences, we cannot imagine how anyone cannot believe in angels.

Your Brother in Christ,
Ron Elliott
